FERI continues to expand its expertise with a new Head of Fixed Income Asset Management

Bad Homburg, 4/14/2026
by FERI
  • Christopher Kuschel joins the company with more than 16 years of fixed-income experience from BNP Paribas and UBS
  • FERI is consistently pursuing its growth strategy in the area of traditional asset classes as well
  • The goal is to further expand the money market and fixed-income segments, including through innovative investment strategies

FERI has appointed Christopher Kuschel as Head of Fixed Income. In this role, he has been responsible for the Money Markets & Bonds segments within FERI’s multi-asset approach since April 1, and will use his expertise in the bond segment to drive the further expansion of traditional investments. In addition, his responsibilities include implementing innovative concepts and providing his expertise for other asset classes, such as private markets.

Christopher Kuschel, CFA, has more than 16 years of experience in portfolio management with a focus on fixed income. Most recently, he served as a Senior Portfolio Manager in Discretionary Portfolio Management at BNP Paribas in Frankfurt. There, the 39-year-old managed mandates for private and institutional clients and held primary responsibility for the fixed income division of Wealth Management in Germany. Previously, Christopher Kuschel held various positions at UBS Europe SE, including Deputy Head of Asset Management and Manager of mutual funds, special funds, and direct mandates for both institutional and private clients. Additionally, as a Treasury Risk Officer, he was responsible for modeling and monitoring interest rate risks.

Christopher Kuschel, on his new professional challenge: “Fixed income has been a part of my career from the very beginning, and I have come to know this asset class from a wide variety of perspectives. I am now very much looking forward to contributing my expertise and broad experience for the benefit of our clients as part of FERI’s growth strategy, and to playing an active role in shaping the further expansion of the fixed income division.”

Dr. Marcel V. Lähn, Member of the Executive Board & Chief Investment Officer (CIO) of the FERI Group, adds: “Traditionally, the bond segment has played a major role for both private clients and institutional investors. Following years of zero-interest-rate policy, recurring inflation, and growing geopolitical risks, this asset class is increasingly coming into focus for investors. Against this backdrop, I am delighted that we have been able to recruit Christopher Kuschel, a proven fixed-income expert. With his many years of experience, Christopher will play a decisive role in our further development in the traditional asset class segment and, at the same time, help contribute his expertise across various asset classes as part of our multi-asset approach.”
