What Does the CoViD19 Crisis Mean for the Future?

Bad Homburg, 4/20/2020

While the dynamics of the CoViD19 pandemic still determine the current picture in politics, economy, society and on the financial markets, the most important consequences for the future must be considered now. The FERI Cognitive Finance Institute has developed a current scenario analysis ("Cognitive Comment") for this purpose.

Many discussions currently revolve around the extent of the recession, the effectiveness of rescue packages and risk management issues in the financial markets. Although these questions are important, the FERI Cognitive Finance Institute considers them rather "old news". Of course, the recession will lead to massive slumps and damage to the global economy. Nevertheless, the current, extremely dynamic time of crisis should be used above all to look ahead in a targeted manner.

The analysis of the FERI Cognitive Finance Institute develops scenarios for the further development of politics and the economy with a view to the 'post-corona' period and discusses fundamental issues that will move and change society. An investment matrix evaluates the most important trends in terms of their medium and long-term attractiveness for investors. In addition, the most important political issues are discussed in a brief overview.
